Westport Whiskey & Wine: Third Thursday in Westport Village and Whiskey & Wine Night to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Kentuckiana. As it is the Third Thursday, shops across the Village will be open later for your shopping pleasure. We will be hosting a tasting to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. New Zealand’s Oyster Bay Winery will be a sponsor, offering their wines for special prices with a portion of the sales donated to a worthy cause. We will have a selection of whiskies, too. Tastings of Wise Guyz Foodz, Kentucky Proud products.
Money raised from MWOY will benefit LLS’s mission to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. This year’s fundraising is in honor of two patient heroes, the 2015 Boy & Girl of the Year, Matthew Marshall of Louisville, KY and Addie Roberts of Hodgenville, KY.
Winners will be announced at the Grand Finale at KY Center for African-American Heritage on May 30th, 2015. The night will be a celebration of all the candidates’ collective efforts as guests enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions, and dinner and dancing. Tuesday, May 12, 7 PM. Glenmorangie Master Brand Ambassador, David Blackmore is responsible for Glenmorangie’s ongoing brand education and communication initiatives across the USA. Before moving to the USA, David spent time working alongside the famous Sixteen Men of Tain at the Glenmorangie distillery, and with the whisky creators at their sister distillery, Ardbeg. Come experience the taste of both distilleries from one the best representatives in the industry. Reservations are required. $20 per person of $15 for Tasting Club Members.

Tuesday, May 19, 7 PM. The Creation of Makers 46, with Bill Samuels and Brad Boswell of Independent Stave. The gentlemen responsible for the first line extension from Makers Mark Distillery will be here to not only tell the story but to taste us through the process. Wednesday, May 20, 7PM. Bernie Lubbers, Brand Ambassador for Heaven Hill Distilleries and note Whiskey Professor, will conduct a blind tasting of the whiskey portfolio from Heaven Hill.
